2013 has brought me more riches than I could ever have believed in and it all started with a life changing experience at the passion conference in atlanta. God has come into my life and changed everything about the way I look at my days, my friends, my family, and my loved ones. This year has brought me so many gifts but most of all has been the beautiful time I have spent with so many of you. Sharing conversation and love that has restored my faith not only in people, but in life itself. It’s amazing what happens when you open your heart to the impossible. I lost hope in 2012. But It has come back into my life in a way that I never thought possible and has changed forever. No Turning Back. Always moving forward. and always believing that there is hope for us all. Know Hope for the Broken. Amen.
I very rarely boast in such things but I want everyone to know how proud I am that this month makes 2 years vegan for me and this June will make 10 years vegetarian. This was never a trend for me, this was always about following my heart and that’s why I’m still here doing these things. This is also why I don’t feel the need to constantly rag on everyone about what they’re eating. Live by example. Nothing else will ever work. According to the latest research my 8 years of vegetarianism has saved over 400 animals. My two years of veganism has also saved over 400. It brings tears to my eyes to think about 800 animals living and breathing. Even if only for another moment because of my commitment. It may never be enough but you have to start somewhere. And even if the world never changes, I have, and that’s a damn good start.
